ladyofchaos: (Oh? Go on I'm listening)
Hey Duel Academy! There's some (not so) new teen(?) girls(?) poking around the Island at various times. You may recognize them, you may not, reality is a bit wobbly for them at the best of times, and these aren't their best of times. Helen is our first, let's see what this gremlin is doing:

Helen can be found:
1.) After a sportsball club meeting, exhausted, sweaty, and drinking water by dropping bottles of it into her open mouth and just swallowing it, bottle and all. She's worked her way through a 12 pack this way. Despite her corpse pale skin, she appears to not be sunburnt or red in the late summer heat at all.

2.) On a sportsball field when no one is there, probably into the evening, awkwardly kicking a ball around. If you're magically savvy, she seems to be tracing some sort of sigil onto the field, though whether she's doing it on purpose or not remains to be seen.

3.) At a card selling kiosk, pulling coins from behind her own or passerby's ears, and dropping them into the vending machine. She's collected half of what she needs from startled fellow students. Her own ears seem to have run dry.

4.) High up somewhere at the brightest point of the day, carrying a parasol that looks half rotten and decrepit, but casts a full shadow over her pale skin even with all the clear holes in it. Though there's a feeling that it's not the sun in the sky she's concerned with shielding herself from. She's looking for something (or more likely someone) up here.

And on the other end of things:

Eira can be found in different spots as well:

A.) They're running a shell game outside of the eyes of what few responsible adults are still on the island. There's six cups in it and two balls, but they're moving the cups with incredible speed. Scrawled on the table in handwriting that swerves between neat loops and manic scribbles seems to be equations that on the surface resembles Schrodinger's Equation but goes wrong and weird extremely quickly. They're happily chatting about superposition to their unfortunate marks, and saying that 'next time, Quantum Mechanics may just be on your side. Go again?' If you have any inklings of magic, this game is 1000% rigged.

B.) They're looking for someone, heading to what would be a mostly forgotten part of the campus, looking... pensive. Hopeful? They're carrying a stack of papers of some sort, with the same insane looking formulas on them.

C.) On an obstacle course or field for action duels, where she's running, alternating between being on all fours and two legs like some sort of wild animal. You can watch her practice like some kinda weirdo or wait until she's done. Or just yell at her, probably causing her to clip through something and flail around, half-stuck in the solid object.

[Journal Post]
I am proud to announce that I am now and have always been old enough to have one of these online social media platforms and no one can stop me from posting to the internet. I have obtained true freedom. Also, that I am accepted to Duel Academy, LDS, and a few other schools that I absolutely definitely applied for and am not overwhelmed, who would be overwhelmed?

[Event]
After the slightly more strange apocalypse that may have ripped open a few holes in reality, Helen has been, well. Slightly harder to find than usual. But don't worry Domino. It's time for everyone's least favorite game besides Dungeon Dice Monsters: 'Why is Helen here, please I've done nothing wrong' Except she's... a teen now? There are competing memories when you look at her, remembering her as the creepy child and also the fact that she's always been 14, as long as you've known her.

... probably best to not think about it too hard.

She is:

1. Applying for jobs. But not like, normal teen jobs like retail or cafes. No, she's in OOPARTS, your secret labs, places she probably shouldn't be with a resume that's... just her name and birthdate, and that birthdate that wobbles and bends and hurts to look at.

2. Finalizing her paperwork at a dueling academy! It doesn't matter which one, she's there, scribbling down stuff. At DA she seems relaxed in its perplexing miasma. At LDS, she's staring at class choices and sitting down with three decks as she whispers to each, running her fingers over them.

3. She's doing normal stuff! She's drinking a coffee drink through a straw that isn't there if you look too close like a normal girl! Shopping for tattered black robes and occult objects, like a normal girl!
ladyofchaos: (Looking down on you)
You can find Helen in a variety of places today! She is unsettling for various reasons, because kids are all their own variety of unsettling, but today is also maybe the day you realize she's... been seven years old as long as you've known her. That's weird. Even if you know her real origin, that's two or three years of being seven. You can make this (or other) horrid revelations in the following places!:

1. In her own house. So really, her parent's house. She's made a pile of cards in the living room, sketched an occult symbol on the floor, set up a pendulum, candles, and incense around the pile, and is chanting in a language that has never existed. This is harmless, she doesn't have the oomph to do anything dangerous.

2. Card shopping! Except she is attempting to pay with large, ancient looking coins that have never had a place in this reality and insisting that they're legal tender. She may be outside of one having just been kicked out.

3. Outside of her primary school or your house or place of work, where she has herded multiple centipedes into a drawn circle and they seem to all be watching her and staying eerily still.
ladyofchaos: (Blank Stare #3)
Helen is wherever you are! It may be in a public place, but she may also be posted at the edge of your bed, watching you sleep. Or in your cupboard when you open it to try and get food. Maybe you pulled a book from a shelf in the library and she's staring at you from the other side.

She has what appears to be a toy 'scanner' that she's pointing around and sometimes it even beeps! But otherwise she's just there. Staring. Sometimes she pulls a child's planner from a pocket on her dress and scribbles down after the device 'beeps.' It's cute! She's playing!
